Avonlea Forest Hill Cottages, hotel in New Glasgow

The Sandpiper cottage was in the perfect location for exploring all of PEI as central on the north coast and beautiful beaches a short drive or long hike away. The Tourist Mart, close by, had all the food and other household supplies you might need and The Ship Yard restaurant just down the street had the best food we had on our trip - everything was just perfect. The kitchen had most everything you needed but the pots and frying pans were very tired - bring a good frying pan and at least one good pot if they don't upgrade if you like to cook. Beds were very comfortable and lots of extra blankets if you wanted them. Good cupboard space as well. Having the two bathrooms, one on each floor was perfect for 2 couples or a family. BBQ was pretty new and very clean and all the BBQing utensils were there. Picnic table outside on the deck and parking right outside the door. Very quiet spot and just 4 cottages in the group but very well spaced out and lots of trees giving you privacy and a pretty spot. We got our key from the office just down the road a few hours early and since we were leaving very early in the morning they let us just leave the key in the cottage when we left - very accommodating and fast communication when I asked a question. Would recommend staying here for location, space and cute cottage and great beds.

Anne Shirley Motel & Cottages, hotel in New Glasgow

Set in Cavendish, 1.5 km from Cavendish Beach, Anne Shirley Motel & Cottages offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

The place was overbooked and we were sent to a different place for 2 nights. When we went back to our original booking it wasn’t ready. The only upside was the maintenance crew Matt and Keith were very helpful and accommodating. We will not return. Very unhappy. Location was the only good part very central

New Glasgow is lovely for those who like a quiet and beautiful location. Island Preserve Company is located here and had a lovely retail shop with yummy preserves, a restaurant, walking paths, and butterfly house!

New Glasgow, PEI is exactly where you'll go when you want a quiet getaway on a lazy river, but with wonderful restaurants and great golf only minutes away. This part of the Island is gloriously beautiful - I always tell friends to throw the map on the floor and just drive around. In NG itself, the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company's wonderful restaurant is a don't miss; just up the road in North Rustico, the Blue Mussel Café is another. You're only 25 minutes from Charlottetown, too, and there's so much to see and do and eat in PEI's capital - and then you can escape back to NG and have a restful sleep.

A great place to stay on this beautiful Island, with great scenery, close to the coast, and quite central for getting out and about. The town itself has a few restaurants and also the Garden of Hope, with restaurant and gift shop, a lovely place to relax and walk round the gardens set next to the river. Also just down the road from Cavendish, home of the Anne of Green Gables museum.

PEI is a wonderful holiday destination, and we found New Glasgow a very peaceful yet handy location. Out in the countryside, but still close enough to whatever activity you want to pursue .... as long as you have a car. Highly recommended!

Beautiful inn and surroundings, professional yet full of charm, nice continental breakfast. The inn is within walking distance of the famous lobster supper place in New Glasgow, the fire pit at night was a plus, and no mosquitoes! that was a nice surprise as we suffered in all our other accommodations in PEI including a 4 star resort. The innkeeper is very knowledgeable about the house and very friendly. Wish stayed longer.

Excellent stay. The room was exceptional, comfortable, fully appointed, and always clean. Good variety of prepared breakfasts by host was superb and made to order (professional presentation too). Staying here makes you feel at home - not like in a hotel/motel. Hosts are kind and friendly. Accommodation is first class. I truly lucked out booking The Lookout Inn and if I return to PEI, won't hesitate to stay again.

It was a very special experience, different from any other hotel or bed and breakfast I've stayed at before. It's a historic house, and all the rooms have very peculiar decorations, making it feel like you are in an old film. The breakfast area and terrace are so beautiful! And the breakfast is simple and delicious. Also, the attention from the innkeepers was great, and the rooms are quite large!

This is the most charming place in the world. I truly felt a perfect mix of staying in a home and having full hotel service. The location is absolutely perfect (very close to Cavendish, 30 minutes from Charlottetown), the hosts were knowledgeable, kind and professional, and as a total bonus the breakfast was delicious. Would recommend to anyone!!!

Nicole and James have thought of absolutely everything, from the nightlight in the bathroom to the water bottles in the fridge. Our room was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The home is close to sandy beaches, scenic views, and historical lighthouses. Don’t miss the New Glasgow Lobster Dinners! Can’t say enough about this place.

Jonathan was a great host! We were late checking in but he was considerate to wait on us and even tour around the house and the facilities that we can use. He even recommend places to go and things to do in the Island. The place is very convenient to the famous New Glasgow Lobster Supper and to Cavendish area.
