The village is essentially a pleasant suburb, grouped around an interesting ruined castle. Convenient as a overnight stay for those heading to or from the Gotthard pass, or as a base for exploring the walking and other outdoor activities in the area.

It is very small giving one a family like feeling and by its' size is very uncrowded. It is very clean, the breakfast offers the the regular cheese, cold cuts, eggs, milk produce, bread, coffee, tea selection. The hotels' restaurant offers local cuisine, a nice way to discover it. The price, for Switzerland is quite reasonable. We stayed here twice this year on our way to Italy and we already booked for our next journey.AndréLuxembourg

The interior, staff/owners and the level of customer service feel like they haven't had an upgrade in the last 50 years at least. Our room was out of range of the wifi router, so we had to go halfway through the hall to even send an email. The breakfast and view from the breakfast room were great and the beds were comfortable enough.
