The hotel is very central and in a beautiful historical building. We stayed in a very spacious room, furniture is simple but elegant. The bathroom (also spacious) had a lovely big vintage look bathtube and a shower cabin. The breakfast is served at the table and it is freshly prepared.

A treat of a historical stay - and on a midweek night in January, we had the whole castle to ourselves!
This is a wee country village. There are farms all around and the landscape is lovely and rural. Fraubrunnen is a train stop away and there is a COOP store and other necessities. Solothurn is a lovely baroque city about an hour away and there is beautiful hiking and biking available.
