The receptionist/ he was not professional. I didn’t like the room as I have asked for a lake view and I was offered one on second floor. The balcony was very low and close to restaurant seating which provides no privacy at all especially for a woman. I asked for a higher level like my previous stay which was on the 5th floor, and i was told i can only get a room that is for handicapped on higher floor and of course i had to decline the offer as I don’t want to prevent someone who is in need for such services, therefore i had to pay for upgraded room ( panoramic view) and the balcony was chaired with next room as well. ( photo attached.) This was my second stay but there is huge difference between the professionalism in both stays.! I need to mention that booked two nights but wasn’t as I expected it be, I wanted to check out the second day and the receptionist and the manger (refused to accept my check out ) and said i have to call booking.com before 3pm ( the time was around 2:15pm then), so i did make a 12 minutes international call to booking.com customer services to explain the situation and get an early check out the next day. Do you think this is professional?? I am a lady staying alone!!! At least show some respect. Its was a nightmare.!

We were not the type of clientele they are wanting. We didn't drive fancy expensive cars. Make sure that when and if you do book you are in the main building not the east wing. We were told by staff that they don't provide services to the area eg room service.

Location excellent. Restaurant on site, outstanding (Kings Cave). Easy to walk to places of interest and train/trams extremely handy. Great bed - very comfortable. 10 Franc credit in restaurant for not using room cleaning was a bonus.

Michelle at the front desk was really friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we were well looked after. The location is fantastic with everything a short walk. The room itself was very comfortable and the staff team were very attentive. The complimentary breakfast is great too. Overall we loved this small hotel.

there were two women on duty at the front desk on the 11thg of may who were most helpful throughout our stay and one woman and one man who were there most days of our stay and on and off at certain times and both were extremely helpful...the two young women workingf 11th morning when we left knew the names of both of them so please ask! so helpful from satsumas to special tissaines of tea to help with other things like lighter duvets etc...sadly i wrote down all four names and lost them flying to london!

This hotel is just a 6-minute walk from the Main Train Station and shopping areas of Zürich. Free WiFi is available in the entire building.
