I have mixed feelings about this lodge, the estate is stunning with beautiful walking trails and canopy towers for watching wildlife. Staying in open bungalows definitely has its charms, but also comes with some disadvantages.

Spectacular location and garden, quiet, with lots of birds and amazing view over Golfo Dulce. Probably one of the best location I have ever seen for an hotel.

The host was very nice and he could speak english. The cabin is nice with some small problems (see below). We really like the small kitchen where you can cook or make a coffee.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jacamar! The way the place is set up with beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the paths and room patio as well as the room itself was atmospheric.
The staff is very polite, easy/quick in communication and very helpful when booking tours to the Corcovado National Park as well as with recommendations for the area.
Set in Drake, Citronela Lodge Corcovado has a garden and a shared lounge. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi.

The setting of the property is absolutely gorgeous in the beautiful jungle, with many opportunities to see wildlife right there. Erickson and his family go above and beyond with making the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I was taken on an afternoon walk on my first afternoon to get to know the birds and wildlife. I went without a car and Erickson constantly helped me with taxi transfers, which they run from a separate family business. Maria, the mother, cooked delicious meals from scratch every evening (for the full duration of my 5 night stay) and it was the best meals I had in CR. All my tours were also arranged for me, which were all fantastic. Cannot recommend this place enough!
