The accommodation seems to be a bespoke development with separate owner, guest and manager rooms. A very relaxed place to stay with impeccable attention to needs of guests. I booked this accommodation for my wife and I as I wanted to show her the sunset from the beach at Cidade Velha. I had been to Cidade Velha once before, though never stayed. We wanted to explore this historic village. We spent two nights here at Cactus. I was in touch with the host prior to arrival and they were happy to arrange a private taxi from the airport and purchase a bottle of wine and some beer. They set up a small table overlooking the rocks below so we could watch the sunset on our first night. Breakfast was excellent with fresh food and set on a table overlooking the pool. We were lucky as we were the only people staying these two nights. A lovely place and lovely people.

The staff was so helpful and always smiling. They helped with 2AM check-in, with tours and information about public transportation. The breakfast was reasonable. The hotel is located in a new residential part of town so there are many buildings under construction. The hotel is also very close to the coast and there is a running track and calisthenics park and it's awesome around sunset time.
