Beautiful large well-appointed rooms, cheerful staff. The restaurant on the main floor is very good, and convenient. Breakfast (extra, not included) was exceptional in quality as well as value.

Everything was very pleasant. The family running the accommodation are lovely, including the (?)teenage children who served some of the meals in the evening. I was very hungry on my last day hiking the Rennsteig as I hadn't had any breakfast or lunch and had walked over 30km (nearly every place serving food was closed en route. Crazy)! So I probably ordered enough for two people. The room was comfortable and the Wifi actually worked! Such a pleasant surprise after basically having no functioning internet at any of the hotels or pensions I stayed at throughout my 8 day Rennsteig hike. The accommodation is easy to find and located not too far away from the town centre. Definitely a good option!
