I was upgraded at the last minute, as there had apparently been water damage in the room I should have been in. Not exactly the hotel I would visit again. Their breakfast is cheap but super simple

The location was nice and peaceful and the rooms were charming and very nice. Have nothing but nice things to say about the staff, that really seemed to do their best for us to enjoy our stay. For such a relatively small hotel, the breakfast was surprisingly good and well stocked

We booked a room, when we arrived there was no one at the desk. They told us they send us an e-mail with a code to get access, we did receive an e-mail, but no code ! There we where after a full day drive standing in the rain outside. We tried to reach them by phone no response, thats no way to treat guests. Fortunately the hotel on the opposite site of the street had rooms available. Even they where kind enough to get in touch with the hotel we booked in the first place, no respons either. If youre running a business, then make sure to welcome youre guest !!! Never ever again ! not to be recommendet.

Hotel Ramada staff welcomed us with a big smile and quick administrative procedures. After 5 minutes of formalities we were settled down and already had the keys from the hotel room. Room itself is cozy and surprisingly - with a bath and not a shower. Beds were ok, mattresses still held us in a horizontal position. Complimentary water and snack-surprise if you not need each day cleaning of the room just adding some extra value
Just 200 metres from the Danish border, Hotel des Nordens offers elegant rooms and suites, all with free WiFi.

We really like this hotel and have stayed here many times. The service is good, but the hotel is a bit old and some facilities are a bit outdated. The swimming pool is nice though. The breakfast was fine.

So sad that we only stayed for one night. The city is very lovely and people are very friendly where we had breakfast and late lunch.
The fishing harbour is very authentic, we learned a lot about the history etc.
If we stayed longer, we would've walk farther to the other side of the bay and go to the beach, but it's an excuse to come back visiting this city.

Our visit was timed around a performance at the Theatre which we particularly wanted to see. Besides that, we found the art museum’s current exhibition well chosen.
The town is compact, full of variety, offers plenty of restaurants and unusual boutiques. A pleasant, international atmosphere. The local university ensures an active, youthful feeling.

Nice and calm city with (saturday) market nearby.
Nice and calm city with (saturday) market nearby. We did not stay long enough to see Nordertor, or wiking museum, but I liked the market and did not miss out the Serpentine path/stairs up left from central station.

Flensburg is by far the nicest of the two large german cities in the north Flensburg and Kiel. We simply love the old walkingstreet in Flensburg and the market on saturdays are just fab. If you wanna have luch we recommend Die Weinstube im Krusehoff and for dinner Haxe mit sauerkraut und bratkartoffeln by Hansens Braurei OR Gnomenkeller wich is a really good steakhouse. Flensburg is a very cheap town to stay in, at Flensbed, which is a boarding house/hostel you can have a large room for just 40€ a person inkluding breakfast or you can stay at the old Hotel des Nordens just across the border from Denmark where you can have a 45m2 suite for just 220€ (use booking.com)

I was positive surprised!
I was positive surprised! The city center is very beautiful with streets, people is very open minded and the nightlife is also good. There are a lot of alternative cafe and stores in the city center. And is also a really good place to rent a boat and "sailing" between Denmark and Germany!

We really liked to walk through the city center and along the waterside. Very nice restaurants on the opposite side of the water from the hotel. We also particulary liked the pub that was not so far away. We ate at the Hansens Brauerei which serves German dishes and very good locally brewed beer.
We also went ot the Braasch rum shop and loved the local Flensubrg rum.
Beautiful room in an older villa just outside of Flensburg. Both me and my significant other were amazed at the beauty both of the accommodation and the area itself! Would definitely recommend :)
That being said, it does help that we knew what we signed up for in advance, if we had come expecting hyper-modern amenities in said older historical villa, that would have lead to a more negative experience. Older buildings have their own beauty, charm and quirks, and in all honesty I preferred it over "just-another-hotel-room".
The room was ok but no cleanliness. The hotel and room had dust everywhere. Wi-Fi password was given but when tried to connect didn’t connect at all. Tried calling the hotel contact number and had no reply. Even tried emailing the hotel regarding wi-if connection had no reply. There is no staff to assist in any issue or if you need something. No customer service at all. Overall it’s a very bad place to stay.
Amazing hostel. I stayed in 8 bed dormitory and it was one of the best comforyability. Solid and clean beds in a room facing the ocean. Around the bed there are margins where you can put extra stuff. The facility is really well designed for backpackers.
The hotel itself is a bit old fashioned, but the personel is young, fresh and friendly. They really want you to have a good time. Their English is very good as well.
Nice location; quiet, but close to the main roads. View over the sea is nice.
Already more than 10 years i choose this hotel as stop to our from Denmark.
A good budget hotel, but it some more workover is needed, what they are doing gradually.
They always have served a good breakfast buffet.
Free parking.
Hotel am Fjord in Flensburg is my top choice for accommodation. Its location is outstanding, and despite its compact size, it offers everything I need. The morning breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff are very hospitable.
Amazing stay! Lovely property that felt more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. Really comfy rooms, great shower/toilet facilities and very nice breakfast area/kitchen. Beautiful spot on the waterfront too.
Very large room with a great view of the neighborhood, a wall of windows. Large breakfast, easy discounted parking, excellent location. Plenty of dining options outside the hotel and inside, too.
