Wesseling is a good place to stay.
Wesseling is a good place to stay. No tourist appeal in itself, but the beer gardens on the Rhine (e.g. Sonnenberg) are great, and you're made to feel like one of the locals. Do visit Bruehl. For Cologne itself, don't drive in: drop the car at either Wesseling Nord or Godorf and ride the 16 (tickets on the train). Very good base for touring.

The hotel looks a little boring from the outside, but inside it has a very classy look and feeling. The beds were really comfortable, and there were no noise from the outside. Its also very easy getting to and from Cologne. If youre traveling by bike theres a really good bike shop just 50 meters away. I would absolutely reccomend staying at this hotel!IverNorway

Spacious room with nice views. Staff were friendly and room was clean and comfortable. Nice budget stay if you are happy to travel into the city as a tourist.
