It was a bit outside the city which was perfect, because it was calm and quiet. Completely relaxing. The breakfast was great with fresh bread and croissants, fruit and scrambled eggs and coffee. We could access the coffee in the common room (which was also great to do some extra work). The family room was very comfortable and inviting. The bathroom exceeded expectations. The decor was very nice. Everything was clean and inviting. The ribbons on each door added a special touch. Our daughters loved it and being able to rent a hot tub for an hour was a definite highlight. We hope to visit again when we are in the area. Our only complaint is we couldn't stay more than one night!

It's a dead city that bored the hell out of me :) Thankfully, I was only there for business. The people are nice; the city is clean and efficient, as you would expect from Denmark. Very nice small sea town with nice architecture, a beach to have a walk, a port and a ferry connection to Fano island , which is a MUST For cheaper food I would recommend street market almost at the market square Chinese takeaway was delicious The beach is quite a walk from the centre

The shopping is excellent with plenty of choice. There is a good selection of places to eat. All the Danish people we met were very helpful, friendly and polite - a credit to their nation. Esbjerg is very well signposted for the walker and driver; we did not use public transport so am unable to comment on this.

Good place to base yourself if you want to visit Wadden Sea...
Good place to base yourself if you want to visit Wadden Sea National Park or surrounds. Bird watching opportunities and interesting museum on the northern outskirts of town. Also a war grave ceremony from WW2 across the road from the Maritime museum (through the little forest), which includes allied and German graves, and sadly, graves of German refugees who fled to Denmark at the end of the war.TraceyAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Nice harbour town with brisk west coast weather. Driving in the city was easy, and the town appears relatively clean and well maintained. Would have loved to linger longer and explore activities at the harbour.

A fantastic town for shopping, eating drinking and meeting people. Really enjoyed the short break and to have eaten at two places suggested for evening meals, La Bamba’s Mexican restaurant and Det Arabiske Køkken. Both places are cosy, comfortable with friendly staff, serving veggie/vegan food and now come highly recommended by myself.JamesUnited Kingdom

It was a voucher for a free breakfast (up to the specified amount) in the establishment of the Hotel BB neighbourhood. Coincidentally, I booked the accommodation for a Saturday (the last day of my stay in Denmark), but Sundays are the days when this establishment is closed. Some rain started, therefore I left Denmark with no breakfast.JiriCanada
