Everything was good! The staff was very friendly, the hotel was decorated prettily, with hammocks, etc., and I highly recommend it! Breakfast is very good, and there is plenty of it to fill you up! Also, at night there is a campfire and music on the speakers, which makes for a fun time! Thank you!

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They ordered our bus tickets that we had problems with ourselves. They gave us a free ride to downtown. Honestly all of them are such welcoming and nice staff. The breakfast included was huge and outstanding. And also there were so many cute animals all around us like dogs, cats and a turtle. 1 dog even gave birth to the cutest puppies while we were there so if you want a cuddle puddle with some new born puppies, this is the place to be. We were so relaxed and the accomodation is the most beautiful I have seen in all of egypt. The photos do not lie!!!

quiet home, hotel in Siwa

Featuring a terrace, quiet home is set in Siwa. This apartment offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi.

Something to bear in mind... In February 2024 my wife and I booked 3 nights at Quiet Home. We paid about $US 24 per night for a room with shared bathroom. We have been backpacking around Egypt for almost one month always staying in budget accommodation ($US 20-35 per night). We travelled to Siwa by public bus and arrived early in the evening. A motorcycle tuk-tuk driver (Abdullah) picked us up at the bus station and drove us the 900m to Quiet Home. Our initial impression was disheartening. Quiet Home is a recently built, somewhat characterless, concrete box structure put into service before work is finished. The front of the building is currently a terrible mess of building materials, waste and rubbish. The accommodation we were given was a room in a two-bedroom apartment which hadn’t been prepared for new guests. A pair of boots and a trouser belt littered the floor; the fridge hadn’t been cleaned; the washing machine contained a 10cm deep pool of dirty brown water; the bed sheets were not clean; a large pile of used bed sheets had been thrown into the bottom of a wardrobe; there weren’t enough blankets to keep us warm in February; there were no towels, soap or toilet paper and the floor, walls and surfaces of the entire apartment were dusty and dirty. The room didn’t just need a clean, it needed a deep clean. To add to our dismay, within minutes of our arrival all the lights in the apartment mysteriously went off. Abdullah eventually managed to find the circuit box and got the lights working again, but they kept failing every few minutes so we simply could not accept this accommodation. We phoned the owner (Ahmed) and he arrived about 25 minutes later. Having looked at the room he apologised and invited us to use a room in another hotel that he owns (called Nainshal Siwa) but said we would have to return to Quiet Home the following day (albeit not to the dirty room). Continued.

Our time at Cafour House is the number one holiday I've had so far. As we arrived, Abdu and Nora (the owners) were helping and showed us around. Their kindness, communication and hospitality is waaay more than the expected, we really could enjoy the time here without any problem. We had traditional egyptian breakfast, and also had lunch and dinner here for a very reasonble price. All meals were quite big portions, and tasted very well, thanks to the kitchen staff!:) The hot spring is very nurturing, you can literally see the stars from the tub at night. One of my favourite. The location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can experience real silence and peace here without and disturbing sounds. The centre of Siwa city is a 15 min ride by tuktuk, for a very reasonable price. Abdu and Nora also helped us with the programmes, we tried desert safari (100%worth it) and we visited the Salt Lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, the Oracle Temple, the Amun Temple and watched the sunset on a nice spot with Hakam. He is an excellent tour guide, he knows a lot about this mysterious little city. I can fully recommend to ask him for guiding. It's hard to summon the whole experience in one single sentence, but i'll try: I will definitely come back:) Greetings and hugs from 2 hungarian traveler ☀️

A beautiful green lake sits among this ocean of yellow sand, but Siwa has more than just breathtaking sceneries, it carries a culture of its own; local habitants of Siwa actually speaks their own language, which is more like the language spoken by the Berber (desert people from further west), than the Egyptian Arabic spoken in the rest of Egypt.

Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature. The Mountain of the dead and The Temple of the Oracle are must see sites. Take the desert safari to explore the desert, ride around sand dunes, see an oasis, visit a hot spring. Nice!

Siwa is on of hidden Gems globally, it takes 7 hours by car from Cairo the Capital, Enjoy the nature in every single thing, starting from morning, enjoy a traditional Bedouin breakfast, Safari in western desert with local guide, sand surfing, and Tea on fire, ending it up with midnight camping on middle of nowhere, Second day, the salt lakes where it heal your skin burns or scars, do it carefully and don't put your eyes into the water, Never. Ending up in Cleopatra spring to wash up all your sins, ;) Third day, have a round in old Siwa, enjoying Abdo Rest. eating local food and shop around for pure healthy herbs.

There is little to do here.

There is little to do here. Two mediocre archaeological sites, one spring (Cleopatra pool). Only one restaurant. The fresh water lake has no real access. The salt lake is a long drive to where you can swim in rectangular mined areas. It might be ok for people who want to hang out in their hotel beside a pool and do nothing. Flies everywhere and bad mosquitoes at dusk and dawn.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa. I know the road there and back may dissuade you but it is entirely worth your time. In fact, I would dare say you NEED to come here. Here you will experience a different culture than the hustle and bustle of Cairo and Luxor. There is plenty going on here but it is much less crowded and much more peaceful. The Siwa Salt Lakes are a must-see experience. There is something almost other-worldly in the air here, especially coming from the busy streets of more densely populated Egyptian cities. Just a few days here in the middle of your trip and you will feel ready to tackle the rest of your Egyptian cities. Missing this place and all the tuktuk rides so much!

Had such a an amazing stay with Abdalla. He is extremely welcoming and hospitable. He instantly makes the place feel like your home. He’s very social and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. this place felt more like a hotel, with only two beds in the dorm, the other bed being unoccupied during my stay. It is very clean, there’s a kitchen you can use and he makes you a delicious breakfast every morning. I am so happy I got to stay here.

After arriving at the house, I found that the surrounding environment was very dirty and poor. The house was in ruins and there was a lot of rubbish. The owner is from Cairo. The double room is just a large floor bunk with few facilities. We have to share the living room and public toilet with other people. At this price, we can rent a better house in Siwa. Please choose carefully unless you don’t mind!

One of the best places I've stayed at. It's a little far from the centre, so it's very peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful view. A perfect place for some rest. It's easy to get to the centre and the hotel organizes tours to the attractions around Siwa. The rooms are simple but comfortable, the staff is very nice and friendly. And the breakfast was delicious.
