Breakfast was excellent and we were able to enjoy it in a really nice family like atmosphere with some other guests. Marisol was very helpful and this is one of places where you can feel like being at home in a good way. Nice bathroom and surrounding areas were perfectly calm.

Although when I booked it they said no refund if cancelled I was taken into Faro hospital and was there for four weeks. Even for a genuine reason they would not refund any of the two nights paid for. Certainly NOT book there again.

The apartment we stayed in felt brand new and everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well-equipped and breakfast was provided. It's located right in the middle of the historic centre, so it is perfect for exploring the town. The street is too narrow to park in but we were able to drop off the luggage then park just outside the city walls. Our host was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the middle of a heat wave and there was no aircon, but there were powerful fans so it was possible to sleep. The historic centre itself is beautiful and amazingly well-preserved, with nice views from the city walls. There are a lot of restaurants nearby.
I was expecting it to be lovely and wow it was. This place is just stunning. We had a room which was a junior suite ( for not much money) which was part of the old fort. It was amazing. We had beers in the grassed courtyard and a meal in the superb restaurant. Breakfast was also amazing. Rocked up on our motorcycles and parking was easy and inside the hotel grounds.
The location is spectacular. The 18th century Fort sits on a ridge with commanding views over Spain and Portugal. The ruins have been beautifully transformed into a stunning hotel. The buffet breakfast included in the price was superb and dinner was also excellent if a little pricey. The staff were fantastic and we would definitely go again.
What a setting!! Couldn't ask for more from a hotel. Staff friendly and helpful, the rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the conversion was superb. Great to wander around the hotel taking it all in.
Very good and dedicated staff. The hotel offers an immersion into history and the room are really cool. I had a great stay in that place and will probably come back.
Staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable about the hotel's history etc. Really unique experience staying here. Restaurant very good, breakfast also top notch!
