We absolutely loved the quietness of the place. It’s a beautiful rural house with rich history. It’s lovely owners told us a lot about the place and it was very interesting to know all the little “secrets” of the house that is more that 300 years old. We loved the detail that you can use the kitchen (not sure about the stove, we personally didn’t use that) but there’s basically everything you might need to make some simple meal. There’s also delivery from the next village if you don’t feel like cooking or eating outside. The owners offer breakfast for an additional cost.
There’s two lovely kitties at the property though they’re not allowed to get inside the house.
The house is in a tiny village which basically is a long street but you can find some interesting and unexpected places nearby, such as La Casa de las Mariquitas (A Love Bug’s House) or a couple of properties with lots of interesting birds including emus, ostriches and even a wallaby. You can also take a walk along part of the Green Trail ( La Ruta Verde) to the nearby village La Cellera de Ter.

Charming hotel that is well kept and super clean. The room was spacious, comfortable and the shower was not only fab but also nice and hot which was needed after a long day walking! We have stayed here many times when driving to and from the UK or Italy through France.
It is ideally located off the motorway near the France border in a small town with several bars and restaurants 2 mins walk into a piazza with usual sensible Spanish prices!
Basic but large spacious room with comfortable beds and a good shower.
Good priced fuel garage 1 km outside town back to the motorway.
Bet is always welcoming and has free secure parking at the side of the property.

Everything! Can Pares is a cozy little gem. It is a traditional masia with three guest rooms which modern are decorated with quality materials and a lot of taste. I love the fact that the room had a lot of light and a nice little terrace with view of the greenery around. Breakfast is awesome: local products with fresh taste and every day a different choice. The masia also has a brand new outdoor pool where you can take a dip to refresh and relax. Anna and her family are perfect hosts, they make you feel like home immediately. And the animals will also give you a very warm welcome. 🐕🐑🐈

we did not have breakfast but there is a cafe on site which did very good coffee.
Also a restaurant on site. We had a very good meal in the evening all home cooked with local produce and good value.
