A wonderful stay! The lady at the reception also gave me a great recommendation for a lunch restaurant.

The city is interesting, particularly in the old quarter around the cathedral and Gaudi building. There are several very good value hotels in the centre of the city and many restaurants which tend to be busy.

Astorga is a lovely town with plenty to see for a weekend stay. Main attraction is the Antonio Gaudi-designed Bishop's Palace (now a museum), a sort of Sleeping Beauty castle designed as a residence for the bishop of the cathedral next door. Secondly, the architecture and buildings all around town -- you can walk for hours and it's even large enough to get lost in, so bring your phone. The cathedral is sadly not very worthwhile -- drab, disorganized, you can go in but you won't stay long. Tip: Almost all shops are closed Sunday, except for the moust touristic, so do your shopping on Saturday.

The old town center was great--an example for the rest of the world! The whole town seemed to come out in the afternoons and evenings to eat, drink, socialize and people watch. It is a model of good urban design fostering community. All pedestrian of course! The people were very friendly to the peregrinos (like me) passing through on their way to Santiago.

Interesting old town with history, character and a great stop on The Camino de Santiago walk which has given a new lease of life to Astorga. The cuisine is another attraction and one hopes the improved economy will continue ... with its abnormally large cathedral and the Gaudi palace, charming town hall, plus the eccentric Paneiro poet family dwelling all add interest and
I was very happy to see that there was a new place in Astorga and was very impressed. The hospitalera is a former pilgrim and has created the most inviting and relaxing communal space. The dorm upstairs is not too big, the beds are very comfortable and it is spotlessly clean. In the morning I woke up to a beautifully set breakfast table with coffee, tea, toast, cereals etc. An absolute gem in the price and comfort range between the two main albergues and the hotels. Would definitely stay again!
After finishing Caminos Frances and Norte, my sister and I rented car and returned to Astorga to see the Cathedral and visit our favorite jewelry shop. The Apt El Atico was great. The host was in constant communication and the contactless checkin and access was seamless. The 2 bedroom unit was very comfortable and the location was perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Parking was free, 5 minute walk.
Reception staff very friendly and attentive. BREAKFAST was excellent, very good food and lovely fresh fruit and juices and great tea and coffee. The girl who served us and prepared and gave us our breakfast was very friendly, service with a lovely smile and so good for the hotel.nead our room ,if you so wished, you could help yourself to tea, coffee, juices and light snacks if you felt like it.Many thanks.
Greeting, welcome and customer service from older gentleman upon arrival, Cleanliness, bed linens, air conditioning, peaceful and quiet, sitting areas in the facility, water pressure and temperature in the bathroom. Presence of a front office employee when I left early around 6:00am. I highly recommend this hotel and will book it again when in Astorga.
I liked the friendliness of the staff. The hostal was clean and comfortable. I felt very safe there as a solo traveller. The menu was explained very well and I really enjoyed my dinner. There was a map left in my room of Astorga and it provided a wide range of information for me. I had a lovely stay at Hostal Residencia Delfin. Thank you.
Location for walking the Camino de Santiago, good price for a solo Pilgrim who prefers a private room and bath. Very clean room and comfortable bed!
There is a restaurant next to the hotel and the food was excellent but they don’t start serving dinner until 7 ish. .
Good room in a good hotel. Location great, right on the main square. Secure, underground parking for the motorbike which they didn't charge us the full car rate for.
Restaurant very good and the discount for hotel residents very welcome.
great staff, clean property, very welcoming, wonderful rooms, great location, a great breakfast, lovely kitchen to use, great view from balcony, a very lovely hotel, highly recommend staying, you will not be disappointed
Well placed near the centre of Astorga. Near the cathedral. Quite near the bus station. Old style building but well equipped. Big kitchen. Secure parking for bicycles. Nice courtyard.
The room was large and comfortable. The hotel is located on the Plaza Mayor, with many restaurants available. The potential noise problem was neutralized by double windows.
The apartment is modern, clean, spacious and well appointed! The bathrooms were large and very user-friendly. We found the apartment to be an oasis in Astorga.
