The host sent me instructions on how to get into the apartment and everything worked a treat. Nice house but no windows downstairs but the upstairs had windows. Fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils and would be no issue to cook a big meal there. That's something I have to comment on as stayed in many that had kitchen but really was a hot plate and a couple of pans. The wifi worked well and no issues with hot water for showers. Location not in the centre of town but no a long walk. There is a very good restaurant.within 4 minutes walk from there.
Recently declared as best rural hotel in province of Málaga, it is located right in the heart of la Axarquia, beside the reservoir of La Viñuela and at the foot of the Sierra Tejeda mountain range.

We loved meeting Estela and La Casita's decor is wonderfully imaginative. Guests write their names on a piece of marble which lives in a divider in the room so you can see where all the visitors have come from. The space was made warm and cosy by a pellet fire - we arrived on a cold, foggy day and it was a great place to spend the afternoon. The kitchen meant we could cook our own dinner on Sunday when all the restaurants are closed (although Estela also offered to give us a ride into Zaffaraya).
