I loved this place, but you must know the reality of the area. There are a lot of empty buildings right now and some sort of political movement with the beach and erosion. In the winter, it seemed like some sort of post-apocalyptic setting with so many empty buildings. They are working fast to refurbish many of the buildings, and it felt quite safe, the few people we saw were friendly and helpful, and there were still plenty of places to eat despite all the COVID restrictions and it being off season. The beach was clean, there were places for kids to play, and we went for nice long walks. I recommend a visit, but be aware that this isn't a posh beach resort, it's much more humble than that. I will go back as I quite enjoyed it.JohnSpain
