We had such fun here, in literally a "one horse town" one of the Sunday lunch regulars, left on horseback! Food was as described by the other diners, hearty, super genuine and amazing value for money

Albergue de Arrojo, hotel in Bucida

Albergue de Arrojo features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bárzana.

This is a hostel with shared rooms, but my wife and I had two bunk beds in the one room so effectively had a private room and bathroom to ourselves. And as there were no other guests staying there we had the entire place to ourselves. Which made the sleep and stay extremely comfortable and quiet. Our host was very friendly and very helpful (and the two dogs he had were amazingly cute and well behaved). The beds were well made up and the mattress was comfortable. The location is very quiet but has a very comfortable seating area outside. There is also a very peaceful walking trail very close.

The location is stunning with good road access not thin winding roads at all. Nuria and the team were very accomodating and friendly. Definitely will be back.

Hotel La Plaza, hotel in Bucida

Set in Proaza, Hotel La Plaza offers 2-star accommodation with a restaurant and a bar.

Rather than a hotel would call this a lovely local bar/restaurant with rooms. The bar/restaurant was nicely busy a lot of the people were locals. Nice friendly atmosphere and the staff and owner were friendly and helpful . We ate here twice and the food was good local, honest fare, the owner told us the tomatoes were from his garden and you could tell, delicious. They don’t offer breakfast as such, but breakfast sandwiches, which I think are a thing in Astaurias, freshly squeezed Orange, coffee and a slice of cake made a perfect breakfast. An authentic rural village establishment, in a beautiful, not overly touristy area-not trying to be anything other than that.
