Hotel La Casa Chacinera, hotel in Cantagallo

Set in picturesque Candelario, within a 10-minute drive of La Covatilla Ski Resort, Hotel La Casa Chacinera is an 18th-century stone building offering heated houses with free Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was excellent, the house is a beautifully renewed building in the upper part of town, very easy to access and near a public car park (free) if you're driving from Navacarros (great scenic road). Coming from Bejar access is a bit trickier, as you have to drive through the village, but the host is very helpful and provides clear instructions.

Great little village full of authentic old Spanish buildings...

Great little village full of authentic old Spanish buildings, nice church and active water troughs which was nice to see. The footpaths - Rua de Plata, etc. are also great for cyclists - long, straight and scenic. I took many great photos of the nature all around. I was there one night only but could definitely stay the weekend there particularly if I'd brought a bike.
