With a magical setting inside a 9th-century castle and boasting a 2nd-century tower, this Parador is straight out of fairytale and has panoramic views over the Catalonian countryside.

Cardona is a very old town and is stunning to explore however I do not recommend visiting this town if you find it difficult climbing stairs and steep hills especially in the old city
It is physically demanding
Great view and when there are no tourist groups very peaceful place to stay. Truly an old castle and this makes it an interesting place to stay. Breakfast was fine but you need to ask for warm breakfast options otherwise you might not realise they are offering this as part of extended buffet. Meals in the evening were fine but nothing gastronomically spectacular. The main waiter in de restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was very charming en helpful.
The house is very nice, it has all you need, and it is well distributed. The rooms were big and bright, and all the appliances were great. Location-wise, you can walk around or visit the nearby village of Cardona. Everything works well, and we even had a barbecue on site. Overall the house is very welcoming and comfortable.
The hotel is located in an actual real castle. This is really cool.
The place itself and the decor gave the feeling you are back in meadival times. In a good way :)
The bed was large and comfortable.
Great views from every window.
Good air conditioner.
Bar and Restaurant were great and convenient! The property is fantastic and staff was very friendly and helpful. The views from the castle onto the town of Cardona and the valley are superb. Highly recommend this experience!
The hotel is in old fortress on top of a hill with great view of the surrounding area and exceeded all our expectations - historic locations, fantastic rooms, comfortable beds, exceptional facilities, wonderful breakfast.
Lovely hotel ín te beart of the old mediavel town. We spent 3 days/2 nights at the hotel and it was great. They have been comunicativ, agile with our requests, I would recomend this place to others as well.

Relatively basic room (no air conditioning) but fine. OK with bicycles. Useful alternative to a fiesta-exhausted Cardona. Surprisingly quiet given that on a moderately busy road.
Very autentic idea of having a hotel in a real castle, beautiful view, great food.
The reception staff gave us very good advice on what we could visit around.
great hotel and a very nice experience to sleepnin a castle. the facilities are great and great value for money. definitely recommend it for one night.
