The owner is very nice and helpful. The house (and the property) is beautiful, a very quiet place. We had great times on the balcony with the cats welcoming us every morning and enjoyed the sunset with a big basket of fruit that the owner left us. Ribeira sacra has plenty to offer and Casa Solpor is well located, near some of the beautiful natural sites that we visited. Grazias A.

Castro Caldelas has a terrific castle to visit and a quaint old village in which to walk. The town is close to the canyon formed by the river Sil, with its steep vineyards along its banks. The location of the town gives one access to a region with a number of monasteries, including the 6th century San Pedro de Rocas and the 12th-18th century Santo Estevo de Ribas de Sil, which is now a Parador but is open to the pubic.

This is a charming small hotel right in the centre of town. The staff were really friendly and allowed us to park our motorcycles in their garage without charge. Our rooms were nicely decorated in a modern style and immaculately clean.
The breakfast was included and was provided in a cafe across the square. Lots of choice and very good coffee.
Definitely first choice if I'm ever in the area again.
Hotel room was in renovated historic building, beautifully done in all respects. Modest sized hotel, suited the village perfectly. I had a serviceable dinner for a very modest price at the restaurant one door away and breakfast, provided at the cafe across the square was a standard Spanish continental. Wonderful place, great hotel, exceptional value.
This is the perfect hotel. A beautiful building in a beautiful village setting, overlooked by a fairy-tale castle. The owner Iago (Hope I spelt his name correctly) was the perfect host. The rooms were gorgeous and full of character, yet super-clean and modern. I highly recommend this hotel, it's perfect, and such good value. Thank-you Iago.
Nice small quiet hotel used as a convenient stop-over after a day exploring the Sil Canyons as part of a longer tour before heading down to Salamanca. Not much to see in Caldelas and very limited eating options, especially on a Sunday. However it served its purpose admirably.
