Much appreciated the late check in and dinner provided. Very dog friendly place. Stunning building and village.
Helena was a lovely proprietor, as was the bartender, Irene. This is a very small, rural town, quiet and quaint. The hotel seems to be a friendly gathering place for the community. The hotel is a historic building which requires stairs to get to the rooms, therefore it's preferable to just take what is necessary rather than heavy suitcases. We had a lovely dinner and freshly cooked breakfast.
To see the telling rooms/wine cellars in Guzman this was perfect location.
The food (we had dinner and breakfast) at the hotel was really top notch.
The room was large, views spectacular over the town and country side
The manager was super friendly and helpful.
The hotel is nicely situated in a small and quiet village. The building is in very good condition. Like new even. The staff is very friendly. I especially liked Helena. She is a young lady who is warm, kind and helpful. A magnificent hostess.
Helena was welcoming, helpful and friendly and took the time to explain where things were. Dog friendly hotel with large room, low beams in quiet village striking distance to bodegas and Penafiel.
GUZMAN and the hosts were amazing. A special experience that I would highly recommend. The telling rooms are worth investigating. I'm now reading the book about them. :))
