We self catered and that was our plan. The location was far more quieter than we thought. We had to rent a car which is very necessary. The owners became best friends and they did all they could to make our stay one to remember. The best sleep we have had in a long time and the view of the Atlantic from the window and balcony was sublime. There is a good bar, Bar San Felipe, 10 minutes away and plenty of fish restaurants 20 minutes away, the walk to them is something else. Very friendly place.

I had splendid time here. The hostel is located away from el medano so you need to take a bus or go on feet to get to the stores or restaurants. I myself was driving by a car therefore having no problem to get whenever I wanted (there's motorway close to hostel)

We were put in a room just across the road from where building work was being carried out from 7.30 am. I spoke to the staff. They fobbed us off saying it was local work they didn't know about but the work had been clearly going on for weeks to months.
They made wait 2 days to change and then put us in another room closely. I tried to speak to the manager when we left but their photo shoot was far more important. Definitely check if building work is taking place before you go

We also recommend pizzeria in Arico opposite the petrol station.

The property is well located within reasonable driving distance from most island attractions, it has all the amenities needed and exceeded our expectations.
The communication with the host was excellent and professional. We will definitely rent it again if we are back in Tenerife.

The village of La listada is very small. There are not many things to see there. If someone goes there, it is necessary to have a car. We were there for 3 weeks without car and it was clearly too long. I think a week stay would have been just right. If someone likes calm and quiet and nothing to do, they can stay there longer ;)
Next to the village of La listada is the village of La Jaca. Both villages are similar to each other.
Nearby is the village of San Miguel de Tajao where there are many excellent restaurants with fresh seafood. The food there is excellent. I recommend to go there.
