Great base for exploring the mountains and the local history...
Great base for exploring the mountains and the local history. Plenty of hiking trails for all abilities. In the evening the tourists have left for the day so you can stroll through the streets as if it was a ghost town.AdrianSpain - 6.0Scored 6.0
I wouldn't stay here as a holiday destination but as a stop...
I wouldn't stay here as a holiday destination but as a stop over on the way to the ferry it was perfect. The hotel was right on the main road but the traffic was light and stopped at night and there were eagles circling the hill opposite. There was a car park nearly opposite. The main square in Ona was quite nice with an enormous monastery. Not a place you'd want to spend much time in unless it was as a base for day trips.

It's a small town, but was really busy when we arrived on a Sunday. The owner let us park the motorbike in his garage. The bar/restaurant attached to the hotel was great. And what a fantastic ride to get there, with amazing mountain views!
