Excellent location to stop on the way to the ferry. I nearly didn't book as someone had given a very bad review, particularly regarding parking. They must have had a grudge of sorts. There is loads of parking both in the car park shared with the cafe downstairs and on the private road in front of the entrance. The hotel is upstairs, and reception is in a large, comfortable lounge area that has a couple of handy vending machines.
The room was large and very clean. The bathroom was amazing and very new and modern. The shower was brilliant. The little fridge was the quietest I have ever heard. I did not need to unplug it for the night. The cafe/bar downstairs was not noisy or busy and can be accessed via the hotel even though it is a separate business. There are another couple of eating choices nearby. A really lovely nights stay in a very comfortable bed. I highly recommend it.
Hotel Chiqui offers great views of the Cantabrian Sea and El Sardinero Beach. Set by the sea and just 3 km from Santander Ferry Terminal, it features an infintiy pool overlooking the surroundings.

First of all, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and polite. The view from my room overlooking the gorgeous beach and the Bay of Santander was stunning. It is very quiet. There are shops nearby and a couple of nice little bars and cafes. It is just a few minutes walk to the bus stop so very easy to get into the city centre (although it's a nice walk as well through green parks). It is also adjacent to the coastal path which leads to other small bays.

Excellent location near the beach ,local restaurants and casino . Public transport was regular with easy access to the city centre ,train and bus station. The hotel has a welcoming bar and relaxing public area . Staff are very welcoming and helpful.
This was a final stop on the way to the ferry. Ideal place.
This was a final stop on the way to the ferry. Ideal place. Easy to find and easy to get to the ferry. Not much there as we could see but there are a couple of places to eat and some bars to while away the evening. Reasonable prices. There was a local Lupa supermarket where I stocked up on goodies for the ferry trip and where we bought the last few bottles of wine to squeeze into the boot. There's a garage, ideal if you are on diesel as you need to fill up on cheap fuel before boarding. Yes, a handy little place for a late afternoon stop.

Only stayed one night as were travelling around northern Spain. Tried to find somewhere to eat but only 3 restaurants - 1st one didn’t do food only drinks, 2nd one was closed and third ignored us! So had to use restaurant at the hotel which was good but a bit expensive.

Overall we were disappointed with this hotel.
Overall we were disappointed with this hotel. Despite the room being quite big, the bathroom was small. Also when anybody nearby used the shower or flushed the toilet it was very loud in our room. Quite a nice village, but we could not find anywhere to eat on a Sunday evening.
