Parador de Siguenza, hotel in Sigüenza

Housed in a superb and well-preserved Arab fortress, dating from the 12th century, the Siguënza provides magnificent accommodation for exploring the historical region of Castilla La Mancha.

The property is beautiful and the location too. The parador and room was cleaned and the furniture in the rooms was in accordance with the property style....the bathrooms need a little updated but in general they are acceptable. The property could benefit from some plants/flower arrangement to warm the ambiance. The service at the bar was basic. We did not try the restaurant.

Hostal Puerta Medina, hotel in Sigüenza

Set in a 18th-century stone house in Sigüenza, Hostal Puerta Medina offers charming rooms with authentic tiled floors, balconies and antique wooden furnishings.

The hostal is located in an ancient house opposite to the cathedral. Inside the hostal also seems to be ancient with an old stair to the first floor. Furniture were corresponding to the house. Beds (two) and linen very good. Quiet during the night. We did not use heating or aircondition as the temperatures were fine. Bathroom OK. You cannot stay closer to the town center of Sigüenza. Many restaurants and bars in the area. We had a simple Spanish breakfast as we like it (coffee with milk, orange juice, toasted bread, tomatoes, ham, cheese). Served in a nice room for 5 euro/day/person. We could park the car on the street just outside for free even it was in the town centre. The name of the street is signed Calle Medina even on official tourist maps, but on Google Maps it was a different name: Calle Serrano Sanz. Fortunetely our GPS guided us to the hostal. The address has changed again to C. Medina 11. The tourist office could not explain the address confusion.

What I like MOST was the scenery of the PARADOR.

What I like MOST was the scenery of the PARADOR. What I dislike MOST was the quality of the cook, and the TV in others bedrooms. People who want to see TV, in a place like SIGUENZA should STAY HOME !

Siguenza is an historic city going back at least to Roman times. There is much to explore, many little back streets, vistas, views, cafes, bars, shops, and whilst there are very good tourist bars and restaurants we preferred the locals where we were made to feel welcome.

Castle was located over looking the city, all the roads were lined with vary old building, the town was like going back in time! Vary peaceful and quite! Every one is vary helpful! We saw know taxis but a local person gave us a ride from the train station to the castle, as it is up hill and a bout a half hour walk be foot coming back down.

I enjoyed the ambience and the views ,The people were very friendly and helpful .The buildings ,streets and all facilities ,shops ,cafes , restaurants were very good.I loved the square next to the Cathedral and the views from and around the Castle. It is easy to get around Siguenza as it is not too big but the streets are very steep and a lot are cobbled. Sensible shoes and warm clothing were needed.

A very old, interesting village with an 800 year old beautiful Cathedral but goodness me the steep cobbled roads back to the Parador are testing. The Parador is an historic Castle of the Bishops, and a very impressive building set on the hilltop, but the car park is cobbled and there are steps leading up to the entrance so very difficult for disabled people.

Randomly chose Sigüenza for our first night after long flight to Spain and this was probably the most memorable day place in our 6 week trip! No other English speakers in town, but everyone was very patient, helpful and friendly with our attempts to communicate. We could not have had better hosts. The Hotel Sigüenza is a small establishment, boutique style. We had the top room. Very quiet with great noise cancelling window Delicious breakfast.

The apartment is very well located, right in the middle of the old-town, and nearby the main touristic attractions in Sigüenza. The building/apartment itself is historical and antique, but renovated and overall well-preserved. The host Raul was very friendly and helpful at all moments, and the house was clean and tidy. Due to the size, and its location, I would definitely recommend it (even for large groups).

This is a beautifully renovated traditional property close to the centre of Siguenza. Access to the property is via an app which works very well. The owner, Juan, was very helpful. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, some antique pieces but with modern comforts. We were able to park in the street next to the hotel.

This is a very nice small hotel on the edge of Siguenza so it is easy to access, and it is a short walk uphill to historic center. The room was great, but we especially enjoyed sitting by the fire in the comfortable common room where there is a bar and where a delicious breakfast is served in the morning.

The people who managed the hostal were very nice and accommodating. I had an 8- bed dorm to myself so maybe my experience wasn't the average, but I was very comfortable, and felt very much at home. Perfect location for exploring the streets of Siguenza or for just relaxing.
