The hotel is an attractive old building situated in a small village surrounded by hills and mountains, I'm thinking of going back sometime to do some walking in the countryside around the village. We were travelling North to catch the ferry to Portsmouth from Santander and wanted an overnight stop within easy reach of Santander. The hotel is about 5 minutes off the A67 motorway, so access is quite easy. Fernando on reception was friendly and helpful. He kept apologising for his poor English, but it was good enough for us to easily understand him. The room was tastefully decorated and had a good view from the window. Breakfast was self service with typically Spanish items available, more than adequate.
Featuring a garden, Hotel De Borleña is located in a peaceful green area of Borleña. The hotel is set in a rustic stone building. Free Wi-Fi access and parking are available.

A spotlessly clean room with comfortable beds and a good shower. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the evening meal was taken in a lovely semi-external restaurant room and the breakfast was one of the best we have had in Spain.

A very nice step back in time, with a really nice and friendly host. The building is 300 years old with character, so be aware that it is not a modern hotel. But we went for the old-world look and we weren’t disappointed. Highly recommended for anyone who likes the quality of life. We’d definitely visit again.

Indifferent breakfast, waiting for service but great location

We stayed in the Two bedroom villa with Jacuzzi. It was luxurious.
The finishing were of excellent standard.
The views down the valley were amazing.

No breakfast taken but evening meal was lovely and good value. The hosts were good when they turned up.
With good access to the A-8 and A-67 Motorways, Hotel Besaya is next to Torrelavega Train Station. It offers a 24-hour reception and rooms with a flat-screen TV. All rooms have a private bathroom.
