There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village,...
There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village, plus also another hotel on the top of the hill "Koli". Neart he village also "Räsävaara" observation tower allowing good views to the forest landscape and lake. Also the new hotel in the Kolinkylä village is easy to see from observation tower. It's a small but cute little place with excellent hiking...
It's a small but cute little place with excellent hiking options. Few other locations along with Koli are close by in case you wish to see more. Very easy to get to see the Akka-, Ukko- and Paha-Koli and enjoy the view to lake Pielinen. I recommend to drive also to the harbour and see lake Pielinen also from the shore.

The location was perfect for the Ukko-Koli hike and the farm self is located in the middle of the nature. The breakfast was very delicious and organic. The sauna should be amazing - but we didn‘t have time to used it.

Bedrooms are located in a hallway on one side of the building and you can close the hallway door to maximise silence. A 12 km drive from the Koli National Park, and on this drive we saw cranes, black grouses and a moose. The cabin is spacious, clean and it contains all you need.
