The entire location is very clean and well maintained. The cabins are beautifully designed with great attention to detail. In the huts you will find everything you need for self-catering. The facility provides also a dedicated observation deck, from where you can see the northern lights (if available) and have a view of the Utsjoki area. The host is very friendly and helpful and also offers homemade and handcrafted products for sale in a small store. We stayed there beginning of April and in Winter, you can borrow snowshoes, skis and sledges free of charge. Hikes can be started directly from the cabine or appr. 10-20km away at one of the two national parks nearby. We can really recommend Lomatärpi and will definitely will stay there once again

One of the best places i've ever stayed at! A little cabin right next to the river, far away from everything, with reindeers right outside your front door. The cabin was very comfortable with a fireplace, a woodfire stove and a good sofa bed. There is a great private sauna as well (and you can dip in the river afterwards if you're brave). No running water but the hosts left sufficient supply for our stay. I would 100% recommend and the hosts were lovely.

The cabins are on a small plateau overlooking the river Karasjohka. Its very quiet and there is really nothing around. The cabins are quite big and have a Bathroom / Shower and a kitchen. They have been clean and the key was already Placed in a keybox when we arrived. You have to be awar that the cabins are about 10 KM from Utsjoki in the middle of nowhere and you really have to drive back there to eat or buy some food. The Kitchen had all you need. There is a old Sanua house nearby you could use. It's very romantic with a real old wooden oven, located just at the river.
