Very special location with super nice and helpful hosts. Breakfast is awesome. We were on our trip from Germany to Spain and this was a great place to stop and rest next to La Rochelle.

INCREDIBLY hospitable hosts! They invited us personally to a celebration of the new chimney, it was so quaint and homely. The style of the house is old, but there were so many little details that were nice. The furniture seemed all more antique, solid wooden breakfast bench - the breakfast was most if not all sourced locally (also from the back garden, with homemade jam and fruits).
We were able to stay with our dog (who was welcome to go to the back garden, which looks like it is amazing to sit outside in the spring/summer... we stayed around Christmas), the host's cocker spaniel was cautiously friendly with our dog, the cat wasn't a huge fan.
We would definitely love to stay here again during a different season!
