The staff were very accommodating and helped me with things around town as I needed to buy some stamps etc. Really helpful and again... even with the language barrier. The room was really beautiful and I could not have asked for more.

Ainhoa is a pretty little town, but its advantage is its location in that area of the Pyrenees-Atlantique, because it is in the "middle" of all the nice little villages that are recommended to be visited in the area. It's a nice 30-minute drive to St Jean de Luz, coastal beach in the Pyrenees-Atlantique.

Ainhoa is a perfect example of a small Basque hillside village, with one Main Street, a few charming shops, great food, and gracious people. A peaceful haven, it’s just 30 minutes from Biarritz, and same from Bayonne. The hiking and walks are gorgeous, with green rolling hills, and sheep everywhere...a calming environment for vacation.

Easy to park; a lovely welcome from the owner; a beautiful, clean, spacious room; and dinner in the evening was superb, served by very pleasant staff. It is an easy walk into the village and the location is excellent for exploring further afield by car. Despite all the difficulties imposed by Covid, the hotel is impeccably managed and we plan to stay again for a longer visit in the future.

There is free parking, a nice garden and pretty pool as well as friendly and helpful staff. Additionally, you get a super comfortable, beautiful and superbly outfitted room on top of a SUPERB evening meal! The pre-dinner drinks are served on the terrace which is not far from the Pelota court and - if a game is going on - the sound of bat on ball is just wonderful.
