Everything. Warm, friendly, welcoming staff, comfortable room, beautiful property. As for dinner, it exceeded all expectations. The Maître D went out of his way to give us a fabulous experience, his professionalism was off the scale, and the food was sublime. The room was adequate. The double glazing was excellent. We couldn't hear a pretty busy road outside. The bar and dining room area was beyond expectation and was a little bit of the 'grand' in the hotel name. We had pre-booked dinner and the table d'hote was superb.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very spacious. I liked the buffet breakfast, it was varied and good quality. I stayed two nights over the weekend and the hotel was quiet. There is a nice view on the train station of Valenciennes from the 4th floor of the hotel where my room was located.
