This is a wonderful place to stay. We loved it. Set in beautiful countryside and very peaceful. The dinners were amazing. We had a table to ourselves in the conservatory the first night and enjoyed superb food and wine. The second night we dined with everyone else and it was a great experience.Deamer - 10Scored 10

This is a beautiful location and the chateau is well maintained and clean. The surrounding area is calm and very peaceful. The pool wasn’t opened when we got to the chateau but I think if I’d asked they might have opened it. The atmospheric was informal but also well planned and dinner with the host was a very French experience! Salmon, chicken and beautiful wine to accompany each course. We didn’t go into Beaupréau as this was strictly an overnight stop so I can’t comment but the countryside around is lovelySallyFrance - 8.0Scored 8.0

Only drove through to get to our accommodation for the night and popped back for a take away kebab as the chateaux we were staying in wanted an arm and a keg each for dinner. We would have liked to explore more but everywhere was closed at the time we had our supper. I was there for work, drove from Channel Tunnel, nothing in area and long way from A28 autoroute, not really a place I would visit on holiday but as a cheap hotel for work visits it does the job okay!

Nice little town but if you wish to have dinner at a walking...
Nice little town but if you wish to have dinner at a walking distance, be sure to book in advance ! Not many restaurants around. Can recommend the Moulin du Moine but you will need your car to get there.

We were a little unsure of the dining arrangements to start with. All seated around a large dining table. However the hosts, who eat with you and their staff turn it into what I could only liken to a large family dinner party with distant relatives. Despite us having very little French, between the hosts and the guest we had a high old time. Do it… it’s worth it! Not expensive either and the eating was first class.
