The hosts: Beryl & Gareth have been the perfect hosts, they are extremely kind and friendly and could not do enough for us as their guests. From the moment we arrived, Beryl was there via text if we had any questions and nothing was too much. They was even kind enough to order us our gender reveal cannons which we was not allowed to bring with us due to explosive legislations with Ryanair! Thank you so much!
Upon arrival, there was a lovely welcome pack of cheeses, salamis, fresh eggs and bread which was very appreciated!
The Gite: Beautiful property with beautiful surroundings! Peaceful and private with everything you need! One of the top features for me was the river that runs besides the property - you can open the bedroom window and listen to the water flowing by whilst relaxing in bed.
Alongside this, you can also sit outside eating your breakfast listening to the river and birds chirping.
If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the property for you!
Facilities: the property has everything a family needs! The pool area is gorgeous and all floats are provided, there is a bbq with plenty of seating area in and out of shade.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning on returning next year with more family members.

Excellent location with free parking. Craig was a great host providing helpful information about where to eat in the evening. Our room was lovely, clean, large and inviting we loved the ladder style floorboards.

Full size communal kitchen that we used to cook dinner. Washing machine in our ensuite. Onsite parking. Easy to find on the main road. Warm welcome by the lovely owner who speaks perfect english.

Made very welcome by Janet. Loved the quirky building full of character. Internet was excellent which was needed for a Zoom meeting. Huge room and very comfortable beds. Breakfast good and plentiful.

We spent one night, were running late and the hosts were very accommodating. They just cater for our needs, being flexible with us arriving late at the property (due to heavy rain on the roads) and agreeing for us to have a late breakfast. It felt like being at home. We were not rushed which was very pleasant . The hosts are open minded and welcoming with a desire to make your stay the best stay ever.
We had a family room which, was spacious and well organised. Tea/coffee facilities in the room. Nothing was missing. We highly recommend this location to solo, couples and families. We will be back for sure.

We were travelling from the South to the North of France and Berneuil was a good place to stop, roughly half way for us. The area looks like a place we would like to explore in the future - beautiful countryside..

Berneuil itself is a typical small French village and plays second fiddle to the town of Bellac. Saying that there is plenty to explore in the region. For us it was a stopover whilst travelling south.
