The hotel is really beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the antique wooden floors in the dining-room.
The bedroom was nice too. Decorated with care. Not too much, not too little.

The position was perfect to visit the " route des vins", close enough to the typical villages in our to-do list.
When you arrive at the castle, the outside is astonishing.

Perfect retreat with all facilities thought of. Set in the grounds of a large gite with its own vineyard. Comfortable bed and large spacious living area.
Rouffach centre is close by with a gothic feel with a handful of quality restaurants. Great for a couple days exploring the wine region of Alsace area or a stop over like we did.

House owned by eldery couple, they live on 1st floor and rent upper floor out. Great value for money. Some furniture is even not old but historical:) Rooms are clean, beds was ready when we arrived. Microvawe over, fridge, kettle, power and water utility - everything is fully operating. Hosts are very freindly, speaking French, German and Alsatian. Very quite environment, we fully recovered before next day long tour in Mulhouse museums. 20 min by car to Cite du Train.
