The food was excellent with the focus on simple dishes prepared to restaurant standards.
The owners were very warm and welcoming with a very personal touch. It is very difficult to describe the experience to reflect how amazing this short stay was. The grounds were wonderful, a mini stately home throughout.

Despite there being a large refurbishment project being done on the outside of the hotel don’t be put off, once through to door the warm welcome of the couple who own the hotel and the extensive update of the decor inside you know this will be a special place

Following a warm welcome, we were shown to a delightful room, tastefully decorated, with many thoughtful touches to ensure a comfortable stay. The bed was so comfortable we slept for over 12 hours! A wonderful shower room with soft towels and toiletries provided. Breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit salad, selection of yoghurts and pastries with fruit juice and a pot of coffee in a lovely breakfast room. The house is in a peaceful, rural location but only 5 minutes drive from a small town.We would highly recommend Sue and John as hosts and are eager to return again on our next French trip. A pleasure to meet them.

This place is a real gem, nice, clean, quiet. Host was friendly and helpful. Inside you have everything you need even for longer stays. Outside plenty of private parking, playground for kids, great green area. For us was perfect.

We were looking for something special for the last night of our holiday and we certainly found it here. A wonderful couple who quietly went about making our stay so enjoyable. Nothing seemed too much trouble. On arrival you immediately get the feeling of being in a lovely home rather than a hotel, with the aim of making everyone feel welcome.
If you are looking for modern then this is hotel wouldn't be your first choice but if you are happy to be among antiques and receive a personal, simple service then you will thoroughly enjoy your stay here.
Our sat nav. only took us to the small village of Bouce so had to rely on google to get us to the hotel, which is some considerable way out of the village.
