Hotel des Thermes is in a league of it’s own. Old school-style and standards. The big feature is being served dinner in the palatial dining room where all the owner’s values are echoed: peace, comfort and simple but excellent cuisine. We had his speciality which is most delicious cous cous I’ve ever eaten cooked by the owner himself. Our room was impeccably clean and comfortable. Great shower and everything we needed. All this for an incredibly modest sum. I will be returning as a treat with my daughter in the spring. Can’t wait!

This is a family run Auberge located in a quiet village. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the whole place, we had an en suite which was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay en route to our destination. The owners are a delightful couple and Madame is a tour de force in the kitchen. We were a late booking but despite the fact that Madame was cooking for the whole village that night and frankly run off her feet, she still managed to put together a meal for us that was worthy of any upmarket restaurant, oeuf en cocotte with smoked salmon followed by king prawns in an amazing sauce - which sadly I never got the name of! The wine selection is excellent and my partner was more than happy with the draught lager. The auberge was slightly off our route but I had read a review saying it was worth a detour, so thank you to that reviewer for the heads up.

A truly sensational French experience. A medieval homestead renovated to 5 star luxury. Room was huge beds comfy, lovely views from upstairs room over the French countryside. Stefan and Bridgette just wonderful authentic hosts, looked after us for anything we needed. Of course language barrier makes it hard because we don’t know French. But we all did our best to communicate. It was so quiet to sleep it was almost uncanny.
My likes include: country location, quiet, no traffic, no people no modern life, farm stay . Room spacious, ammenities clean, hot shower and well presented.breakfast was magnificent home made from wonderful hosts.
It’s a quiet town with very few restaurants/cafe. It’s best to eat at the hotel. We did have pizza from the takeaway one night which was delicious. There are a few supermarkets close by though so you can buy basics.
Castle is a nice activity for an hour.

Very nice hotel with an outstanding restaurant. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, and David, the hoberguer, was great! Our room was large and comfortable, with a view overlooking the garden. Our dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was well prepared and delicious with a wonderful assortment of local vegetables, and the breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot and cold items, fresh fruits and cheeses.
There was still free parking space on the square for my car when I arrived. I looked out on it from my room. The hotel has a private garage at a price, but not very near nor easily accessible, I was told.
In spite of the location of my room there was little or no noise of traffic.
The room and bath room looked pleasant.
The hotel was in a beautiful location & historic setting. The original part of the hotel was a charming & well renovation period house and the rooms were well maintained & immaculately clean. The staff were calm, efficient & attentive. a perfect stay!
