Excellent Food. nice continental Breakfast. Great Staff. We will definitely go back again. The room is as per photos. The village is so beautiful. Great places to visit in the surroundings and we recommend "gouffre de Padirac" and the village of Rocamadour.

Offering garden views, Chambres d'hôtes Chez Dumitra is an accommodation located in Calès, 14 km from Merveilles Cave and 15 km from Monkey Forest.

Breakfast was really good, with lots of choice. Our hostess was really helpful; we arrived late on a Sunday and she phoned round to find a restaurant for us (in Rocamadour, back along the precipitous, windy roads we had driven to get there!) Spectacular views from the restaurant and on the roads around.

Located close to Rocamadour, this 17th-century mansion is set in a large, peaceful park and boasts panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Stunning place to stay, a short drive from L'hospitalet, Le chateau and the lifts down to Rocamadour. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, the grounds are beautiful, close to vines and a stunning view. We made use of the swimming pool even though it was mid/late September. Breakfast was excellent and we also enjoyed drinks on the terrace.

Calès is a sleepy town, off the beaten track.

Calès is a sleepy town, off the beaten track. If you came for all the bells & whistles of a touristie town you have come to the wrong place. If you came to rest & refill your batteries then you're in the right place. Easy hiking. FANTASTIC nature, not far away from Rocmadour & 15 minutes away from other ammenities. I have poor health & Fiona readily organized me a doctor's appointment 15 minutes drive away. You will need a car however to get around. Don't drink too much when driving at night, it will not serve you well... We are down to earth people & enjoy nature - that is what this place is all about!! No shopping for another piece of rag that you are not going to wear, or ornaments "made in China" crap. The momentoes you are going to take back is excellent cuisine & fantastic memories.

Good base to visit the Grotto caves, Rocamadour, and surrounding area - stunning scenery, unspoilt villages, local produce available. There is a restaurant in Cales, but I did not eat there, rather buying local food and enjoying it in the garden at Moulin de Latreille.

Calès as a town is quite nice, if diminutive.

Calès as a town is quite nice, if diminutive. Not much to do there in terms of entertainment, for that you'll have to go to something bigger. The food at Le Petit Relais is really good, but a bit on the expensive side; no alternatives exist locally. You can reach a lot of the sightseeing locations of the region quite quickly from here, if that is what you want, so you might want to stay here as a base camp to explore the region, but ultimately Calès is probably a more nature lover's location than anything else.

A pretty little hotel in a beautiful isolated village. It’s the only bar/ restaurant in the village and we had a delicious evening meal outside after a long day cycling. It had everything one would want in the room including a fan and a lovely pool outside.

Lovely spot in picturesque village of Cales. Excellent breakfast. Dinner served outside, weather permitting, very enjoyable. Room was comfortable, no Aircon but shutters worked very well. Car parking just round the corner.
