The location is brilliant, views over there huge gardens were stunning. As a group of bikers it was great, the British couple who own this were very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. They lent us there bbq and parked under there carport out of the rain. Beds were very comfy and facilities ok.

The hosts Jonathan and Bernadette were amazing. Very accommodating and made our short stay a pleasure. The house and the grounds were lovely and relaxing after a long journey. The downstairs room was suitable for the less mobile. We will definitely try to stay again. Jonathan recommended and made us a booking for a local restaurant that was also very good.

Breakfast was amazingly generous, and with treats and jams cooked by Dominique, who gave great advice on local sites to visit and started the water mill so we could see it operating. Fabulous views of the garden and river. Lovely to see the well-behaved, friendly dog, the ducklings and hens and the fruit trees. It is clear that nature is cherished here. The interior decor is quite eclectic. Lots of hot water, comfortable bed and sofas. Big and deep pool but we were the first visitors this year so understandably it was not filled yet. I loved it but would not have wanted to take my children there when they were young what with the fast-flowing river and mill wheel.
