An ideal location just a few blocks from the train station. We don't really need (or enjoy paying for) super upscale, and this Novotel is the perfect balance of down to earth and comfortable (we've stayed at two other hotels near the station and both were a little downscale for our taste and comfort). The staff was great - friendly and helpful. My bag didn't make it to the airport and then didn't make it during our stay at the Novotel, and they called us as soon as it was delivered to let us know it was there. The restaurant/bar is comfortable and the food above average (we had a dinner and two lunches there, and the breakfast is quite generous). We'll stay here again when we come back to Bordeaux.

The location of the hotel was excellent with easy access to the tram system that runs around Bordeaux. The car park was also excellent with unusually large parking spaces for France. Breakfast was also very good..
