This was our second stay . The house is perfect for a family group and dog. It is a very attractive house, well equipped with everything we needed to cook large meals, and comfortable everywhere. The garden is perfect for eating outside, and was safely enclosed for the two small children and Colby the dog. We did walks in the woodland near by, and enjoyed the friendly swimming lake at Vernet le Varenne, about twenty minutes away. The local town, which is about five minutes’ drive, had small but well stocked supermarkets, and both towns have boulangeries/pâtisseries. For bigger days out, towns like Le Puy en Velay, and La Chaise Dieu are easily manageable and worth the drive. Views all round the house and the area are fantastic.

Mieka and Jan were wonderful hosts. They recommended and booked restaurants for us and prepared a wonderful meal another night. They were great company. They also recommended places to visit and sights to see. The beds were comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was great, too. Highly recommend.
