Chantonnay is far enough away from the coast to have cheaper rates than places nearer the sea. All major shops and outlets are in the town. About an hour to the coast or less to lovely countryside.

I didn't make much use of the facilities duevto the 4 day march of Chantonnay, but the bed was comfy, the food nourishing and the staff friendly, which all contributed to finishing that dreaded 172km march! I had originally booked it with the intent to use the pool, which looked lovely, but after 8 hours+ walking I couldn't bring myself to go to the pool. Easy parking and elevator access to rooms and reception straight from car park. Hotel lovely and clean. Staff all friendly and work together as an efficient team. Food excellent quality and varied menu. Pizzas fresh and very tasty. Lovely veranda to sit outside and view lake with covered swimming pool to have a refreshing dip. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Our host, Laurent, was so helpful and friendly and we had the use of bikes, games, sports equipment and more which was an added bonus. The family room was large and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel and would like to go back for longer!

We are Vegan which is not easy in France and the hosts went out of their way to accommodate us for breakfast. Our Kids loved staying in such an historic building and loved going to Puy Du Fou which was an easy drive.
