So helpful with everything - from serving breakfast in our room (overlooking the river) to providing ice buckets for our wine. The guest house is beautiful and the garden - with seating overlooking the Loire - is wonderful. The town of Cosne Cours sur Loire (two minute walk) has plenty of bars and restaurants and you're only 15 minutes drive from Sancerre. It's an amazing location and great value.

Don't expect glamour; it is a hotel next to a motorway junction on a large industrial area. That said, it was quiet with little motorway noise, the room was clean and the bed was nice and firm. There was green industrial space around to walk the dog, who even managed to put up a hare! The price was very good and the staff were helpful. For an overnight on a long journey, it was fine.

Clearly it is not a luxury hotel, but in it's genre of budget travel type hotels it was exceptionaly good. For example, The toilet, shower and washbasin could be accessed separately. If being used by a couple or family that could prove very useful. Receptionist was charming and helpful.
