Catherine was a lovely host. She was very communicative and welcoming. The villa was a very comfortable place to stay for a night whilst we were taking our road trip. This is the first place we stayed at that had enough plug sockets and they were in a sensible place for overnight charging. We had full use of the plunge pool on a very hot day and evening, we were able to enjoy it privately in a peaceful garden setting. We had dinner delivered as we were too tired to venture out. Catherine, very perceptive and attentive, noticed that we had food delivered and asked if we needed cutlery (this was above and beyond!) Breakfast was very nice, juice, croissants - typical continental style. We were able to park the car easily off the road and it as well as the area felt secure and safe. There were some mosquitos and we had already brought the “after bite” treatment with us - we’d come again out of mosquito season to enjoy the outside space even more. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We were here a year ago and they were modernizing. They have done so sympathetically, great elevator and rooms are excellent. They are old fashioned yes super clean and accessible I do not need modern decor. The staff is efficient and 24/8. The location is superb for tram from airport and to the train station. Easy access to center of the city. Great restaurants nearby and theater and wine center. I would rather be here than fancy new hotel it is why we are in France!!

An ideal location just a few blocks from the train station. We don't really need (or enjoy paying for) super upscale, and this Novotel is the perfect balance of down to earth and comfortable (we've stayed at two other hotels near the station and both were a little downscale for our taste and comfort). The staff was great - friendly and helpful. My bag didn't make it to the airport and then didn't make it during our stay at the Novotel, and they called us as soon as it was delivered to let us know it was there. The restaurant/bar is comfortable and the food above average (we had a dinner and two lunches there, and the breakfast is quite generous). We'll stay here again when we come back to Bordeaux.
