This a beautifully- renovated chateau set in quiet countryside. We had an enormous bedroom with fabulous views of the gardens. There are lots of facilities there but not were all in use, probably because it is the beginning of the season. We were happy just to walk around the grounds. Our breakfast was wonderful, with 5 types of home-made cakes and 3 kinds of bread, we were spoilt for choice! The price was good value for such a gorgeous place and we would stay there again.

Gaiety and elegance are the two words which automatically spring to mind to describe this magnificent 18th-century chateau, a listed building set amongst exquisite French gardens and parkland.

Its location in a tiny and typical village far from the madding crowd makes for a very quiet stay, and it is but a few minutes drive to a restaurant (or an ATM, because the owner prefers cash). It is also possible to eat something on site, but the menu is limited. Breakfast is truly superb though. Had a lovely and relaxing time here, we were provided with everything we needed, including such things as coffee cups for the coffee machine and detergent for the washing machine. This makes that you can just enjoy the lovely furnishings from the very start. The host was very helpful as well, welcoming is to the house and explaining how everything worked. The spa was wonderful!

My daughter and I were met earlier then except by the owner. He walked usin, showed us everything, made sure the hot water was on and gave us extra blankets if needed. Our lack of communication skills in French was made easy by his smile and patience. This is a warm and inviting place and I highly recommend it for your stay in the area. Thank you sir.

Faultless fantastic breakfast. Plenty of choice all fresh every morning. I did not have the evening meal but it smelt and looked good, will try next time.
