We stayed here as it was a good location for visiting our family who lived in a nearby village. It was handy for them to pick us up and leave us off as we did not have a car this trip. We had booked the bedroom with the private bathroom which was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The shower was excellent and toiletries were provided. There was also a coffee machine in the room which was good. We booked breakfast which was continental and very good value. The host was very friendly and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed meeting the dogs.

No one to greet us,. no breakfast offered. We were to be the only people in this huge , freezing abandoned mansion. we left and found somewhere else. They should never have taken our booking if they had no staff.

Location very nice. Host very warm and helpful.Breakfast was very nice, with lots of choice.
Only negative, was that the rooms were a bit basic and simple. There was a mini kitchen which could have had better Tea and Coffee making supplies.
Location, warmth of host and breakfast, made up for the basic room though.
