Clean room and ok for a night stopover. Unfortunately the restaurant (which this is marketed as in the name!) is closed fri/sat and sun which was frustrating. No food close by so had to drive into local town for a burger (place de la frites-lovely burgers and better than the Mcds alternative). Most places in town closed early so unless you take food to the hotel and eat in room at weekends be prepared! Had a quad room with bunks for kids....very uncomfortable basic foam mattresses. Close to main roads for quick getaway first thing for tunnel home.

It is a pretty little town with a couple of restaurants.
It is a pretty little town with a couple of restaurants. But the main reasons for Australians to visit are the WWI battle sites, cemeteries and memorials. These include the VC Corner cemetery, the fabulous “Cobbers” statue, and the new Pheasant Wood cemetery just opened in 2010. The museum in Fromelles is worth a visit and gives the Australian perspective of the war and its loss of life in this area.
