This hotel opened recently (less than a year ago) and everything is still new and up to recent standards.
The sea view can be great - but conversely the one from the back of the hotel is really bad, so make sure you secure a room in the front.
Close to the beach and the town centre, l'Hirondelle provides comfortable accommodation and a warm welcome in the heart of the seaside resort of Dunkerque.

Wonderful service overall. Delicious buffet breakfast, reasonably priced, good dinner in restaurant, good room service, good wifi, elevator,,,,Situated near lovely Place de Turenne. Five minute walk to the beach and '"digue":or boardwalk, easy walk to Dynamo 1940 Evacuation museum, worth seeing.. easy walking distance to the port, pedestrian walkway over the canal, good views of lighthouse. At low tide we saw several wrecks of ships that did not survive the 1940 evacuation...off the Dunkirk boardwalk and a bit Farher north on Terminus and Zuydcoote beaches. Lots of historical marker signs well done. We learned a lot and just enjoyed walking on the boardwalk along the beach. A Bus stop is right around the corner from the hotel, buses are free in Dunkirk! We took bus C3 to the historic town center, easy. Lots of cafes, restaurants, the Cathedrale, town hall and music the day we were there for a big flea market, we just loved the laid back vibe of Dunkirk and the boardwalk and beautiful beach architecture, knowing almost everything has been rebuilt since WWII...highly recommend a visit to Hotel L'Hirondelle and Dunkirk,

The room was very cosy and clean. Nice space downstairs to sit and talk. Easy parking. Close to the sea.
Evancy Etoile Des Dunes offers accommodation in Bray-Dunes. Dunkirk is a 22-minute drive from the property while De Panne, in Belgium, is a 20-minute drive away. Private parking is available on site.

Brilliant location, basic room but comfortable and had everything we needed and was lovely and clean, great for a few nights stay. We didn't use them in the end but the room had a little hob and oven and microwave. Little fridge and coffee machine, with complimentary coffee which was a lovely touch. Shower is lovely, lots of water pressure and better than my home shower. The black out blind is brilliant too, blocks all the light, we ended up sleeping in till 11am because it was so dark.
