We were made incredibly welcome by firstly Francois and then later by Dan. Both of whom continued to make our two night stay really pleasant. We were there to look at a property and we were given great local information and guidance from both.
Hotel is "quirky" with its Convent history and once you know this the decor makes total sense.
Room was a really good size, clean and a nice view of the Abbey.
Food was good , wholesome and plentiful prepared by Dan himself. (we didn't do breakfast but it was offered)!
Location is just perfect for exploring the village and the surrounding area.
Oh and the local "Fanny's" beer served was fabulous!!

The room was big and clean. The bed was comfortable. The personnel was helpful and friendly.
The village of Janaillat, is very tranquil and calm.
The village of Janaillat, is very tranquil and calm. It was just perfect to get away from it all and relax. We had a lovely stay, and some lovely walks around the village taking in the beautiful countryside and looking at the wild flowers and the various wildlife (deers in the fields, buzzards and sparrow hawks).
Janaillat is central in the Creuse, and by car is very easy to visit all the hsitorical towns and villages.
This location would also be perfect for cyclists as the roads and so quiet.
