Villa Limonade, maison d'hotes, hotel in La Caunette

Offering a garden and garden view, Villa Limonade, maison d'hotes is located in Olonzac, 32 km from Abbaye de Fontfroide and 43 km from Fonserannes Lock.

The B&B is tastefully decorated and furnished in a well-maintained large house. The breakfast area is lovely, connected to a spacious kitchen on one side, and on the other large windows offering views to outdoor terrace and garden. Our room is clean and spacious, with comfortable bed and pillows. The B&B is located in Olonzac, a quaint village well served by amenities within easy walking distance (2 fresh bakeries, a small supermarket, a lively cafe, a few restaurants, etc). If you love peace and calm, this is the place. If you are in Olonzac on Tuesday, be sure not to miss the weekly regional market held there, filled with food, amazing produce and all types of goods. The B&B is 10 minutes walking distance to the vineyards, which will take you to a lake, popular with the French and visitors for BBQ, picnic or swim. Olonzac is also located next to Homes, another village just 5-mins drive with the Canal du Midi. The owner is friendly and has been very helpful. On the day we check out, we had to leave at 6am and was prepared to forgo breakfast (the stipulated breakfast hours are 8am to 10am) The owner was very kind to wake up early to set up breakfast for us, warming up croissants and providing us hot coffee and tea. We very much appreciated this.

We were generally happy with our stay at this house.

We were generally happy with our stay at this house. None of the criticisms were deal-breakers for us although we wish we’d known about the precise location and had accurate details of the garden when we booked. If you know this area well, this house could be a good option. But, if you’re not familiar, you could easily feel very isolated and we would recommend staying somewhere closer to a larger town or village.
