This hotel is in a really good location, in a pretty little town in easy walking distance from shops, cafés, restaurants etc. Highly recommended from that point of view.
The hotel itself is perfectly adequate; the room we were in was maybe a little basic with a smallish bathroom, but all perfectly acceptable for the price. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, and breakfast the next morning was fine, if a little limited in choice compared to some of the hotels we stayed at.

Beautiful medieval town along the Loire valley, close to Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé vineyards. In La Charité, you can visit the old church, priory, city walls and enjoy the local Saturday market on the main square. For those looking for a more active holiday, you can enjoy kayaking on the Loire, rent a bike to go cycling in the surrounding countryside or even go horse-riding in the local forest, called the Bertranges. Perfect for a relaxing holiday!

The staff, the hotel, and the rooms were friendly, clean, very comfortable and nice. They have a great location allowing for nice walk every morning and evening across the bridge to and from the village of La Charité-sur-Loire. There is a wonderful pizza restaurant on the corner and several other restaurants and pubs just across the bridge.
